Amid the aftermath of the destructive Hurricane Helene, country music superstars — notably Luke Combs and Eric Church — are ready to give back to the region that raised them, performing at the inaugural Concert for Carolina, presented by Explore Asheville.
This benefit concert will take place at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on Oct. 26, and aside from Combs and Church, Billy Strings, James Taylor and more musical maestros are set to take the stage. Additionally, Barstool Sports personality Caleb Pressley and ESPN sports journalist Marty Smith are set to host Concert for Carolina.
More importantly, all proceeds from the benefit concert will support Hurricane Helene relief efforts in the Carolina region, with funds stemming from a raffle, an auction, ticket sales and more. Some of charities this show will support include (but are not limited to) Chief Cares — Church’s official foundation — Manna Foodbank, Second Harvest Food Bank and Samaritan’s Purse.
Headliner Luke Combs took to Instagram today (Oct. 7) to announce the oh-so special show, sharing with his seven million Instagram followers the details of Concert for Carolina:
“I told y’all I had something big planned for Carolina. One of the ways we’re helping is a benefit concert at Bank of America Stadium on Oct. 26! This concert took so much planning, work and coordination from so many people. I’m so thankful to everyone who helped make this a possibility on such short notice.”
He then added information as to how individuals can attend, as well as help out:
“Tickets will go on sale this Thursday (Oct. 10) and 100% of all proceeds will be going directly to those who need it most. For updates, details and ways you can help, please visit concertforcarolina.com.”
Naturally, this caused an uproar from country music lovers all across the globe, applauding these artists (specifically Combs) and their willingness to give back.
