I think Boots In The Park might’ve just pulled off THE ultimate festival lineup.
The massive New Mexico-based country bash hosted by Activated Events just announced its lead lineup for 2027, returning to Albuquerque’s Balloon Fiesta Park this May. Following their highly successful 2026 production, this time around the fan-favorite festival will head into its fourth year in the state, kickstarting the weekend of the 14th through 16th by inviting some of country music’s biggest names to the stage.
This year, they’re truly embracing the statement, “three generations of country. one legendary weekend,” with an unbeatable list of five massive names so far that span the past three decades of the genre. While no official full lineup with the day by day headliners has been set, so far we know that the one and only king of country music, George Strait will perform which should basically tell you all you need to know.
Strait will return to the land of enchantment for the first time in well over 10 years, also marking his first festival performance since 2021. As Strait continues to wind down his legendary touring career with over 100 million RIAA certifications and decade-spanning hits, this may be a once in a lifetime experience to catch the “Troubador” singer dominating the stage.
In lieu of this, he ominously shared, “New Mexico, it’s been way too long. While I’m not sure where else this next year will take us, I do know we can’t wait to see everyone at Boots In The Park next May.”
If you haven’t left me yet to immediately go purchase tickets after reading that news, to add to the incentive, 30+ No.1 hit maker Jason Aldean will rock the crowd alongside the legendary must-see duo, Brooks & Dunn. Returning to his West Coast roots, Jon Pardi will dust off the dirt on his boots alongside the lot’s freshest face, Zach Top (who coincidentally has plenty of new music on the way this upcoming spring).
Boots in the Park still has plenty of surprises up their sleeves as they prepare for a second roll out of the full lineup in the near future. In the meantime, they promised the return of many exciting fan-experiences littered throughout the grounds including Smokeshow Pitmaster Cooking Demos (which I can already smell through the screen), Line Dancing, Cornhole Competitions, of course Mechanical Bull Riding and plenty of refreshment stops including the Whiskey Barrel Saloon, Cactus Cantina, Desert Rose Wine Garden and the Mixology Bar.
Steve Thacher, the CEO of Activated Events who’s behind this larger than life production ensured, “or 2027, we wanted to create something truly legendary. Expanding Boots In The Park to three days and bringing George Strait, Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Zach Top, Jon Pardi, and more together on one lineup is an incredible moment for country music fans.” Noting, “This is going to be one unforgettable weekend.”
Presale for tickets will begin this Thursday, September 10 at 10 A.M. MT, followed by general on-sale starting this Friday, September 11 at 10 A.M. MT. Tune into Boots In The Park’s social media and website for future lineup announcements.
